Sorry in advance for anything that doesn't make sense or is ut of order.
Have you ever experienced minutes that seemed like hours? I never had until Sunday. During church on Sunday Glen fell down in the hall and hit is head on one of the doors. You know how the glass doors have that metal strip around the glass, the part that sticks out about 1/2 an inch? Glen hit his head on that part when he fell and cut his head pretty bad. I was absolutely terrified, I felt like I was living a nightmare, all of my CNA and First Aid training went out the window when it happened. Except I remembered to apply pressure. I am so grateful to my two friend in the ward who are nurses who bandaged his head before we left. Both came running, but as I sat in the bathroom holding Glen and praying it felt like forever before anyone came. I was so hoping to be told we just needed to wash him up and put a bandaid on. A trip to the ER was not on my list of good Sunday activities. We took Glen to the ER, thank goodness the hospital was only a few blocks away. At the ER a doctor cut off the bandage and was happy to see that the cut was a nice straight one that would be easy to stitch up and fix. There was a plastic surgeon on duty at the time who came to do the stitching so that Glen has less chance of scaring. He was such a brave boy. I'm not sure how many stitches he got, the Dr. didn't tell me, but with two layers I'm guessing at least 10. We take Glen in on Thursday to get them removed.
After the doctor cut the bandage off Glen was ready to go play, he was a little upset that I mad him sit on my lap. He still had a hole in his head though ans I wasn't about to let him run around the ER, hole or not. I am so grateful to the nurses that helped us and to the Lord for helping Glen.
On a more humorous side, I sure wish I could have understood what he was talking about when He was waking up from the "dream like state" because I am sure it was funny.
