New babies

Today I am very grateful for new babies.  I love the hugs and cuddles I get from my sweet boys, but there is just something about a new baby that is so full of sweetness that it just fills me up.  Here is my newest nephew being fawned over by my boys who are almost as baby crazy as I am.  Glen kept talking about how tiny his feet are, and Benjamin wanted to hold him again and again.  I think that even they felt that there is something special about anew baby.
Maybe is is the newness of anew baby, maybe is is that they have come so recently from Heaven and Father's arms. I don't know what it is, but I know I love it immensely.  Oh my goodness, it was so hard to give this sweet thing back to his daddy, who by the way was so patient letting me hold him four times and didn't even look at me funny when I had a hard time giving him back.  And bay did I have a hard time.  I could have sat there all night holding, cuddling, feeling his soft hair, tiny toes and finger, and just loving him.
I am so grateful I had the opportunity to go down to welcome the newest member of our family.  I am grateful to have been able to hold him, to see my kids hold him, to touch him, feel him, and whisper sweet things in his ears, his tiny ears.  I am so grateful for new babies.

Funny Coincidence

LaChelle and I thought it was funny when she showed up with Peter dressed in Levi overalls just like Glen. but it was even better when Angelina came down to say that Enoch was also wearing Levi overalls. Typical mom's, we couldn't resist getting a picture or two, or three or four. How funny that we all dressed our kids the same without planning it. Two is cool, but three is great.

Bella

Bella comes to play with us during the day while mom and dad work. She loves Glen and plays well with him, considering she is 10 months and Glen is four. She helps me pat his back while I burp him, and tries to cheer him up when he cries. Glen loves having her here to play because it means that he has a friend to play with and isn't bored as much. He loves to sit and watch her while she plays. They are becoming good friends and I am glad they get to play together.

Peter

This is Peter, he is Glens oldest boy cousin. Peter is a lot of fun, he loves to laugh and scaring him is the best way to make him laugh. This picture is from September when Glen had his baby blessing. Peter was all over the place, pulling himself up, pulling stuff off, exploring, and having fun.

cousin visit

Here John and Elijah were playing. I think John enjoyed this as much as Elijah.

My family came to visit a week or so ago, boy did we have fun. My nephew Elijah absolutely loves Glen. He is so helpful and protective. I remember when Glen was first born and my sister came up with her son. When we were at the WIC clinic picking something up Elijah demonstrated his protectiveness. A worker came to get me for my appointment and picked up Glen for me. As soon as she picked Glen up I heard Elijah complain. Shortly after sitting down I hear my sister yelling "Elijah, no!" and in come Elijah. He grabs the car seat and glares at the lady as if to say, "you want him, you have to deal with me," he wouldn't leave until I was finished and he was convinced that Glen was again safe.

I had quite a bit of fun with Elijah as well. After a spaghattie dinner Elijah was ready for a bath. I volunteered and we had fun. I gave him a Mohawk, put bubbles all over his hair, and played basket ball. Then we put Glen in and we had even more fun. Because I had put bubbles all over Elijah's hair Elijah thought Glen needed some bubbles in his hair so he took the bubbles off his head and put them onto Glen's. They were so cute together.

My sister Jennifer had fun with the kids too. She went outside to jump on the trampoline with Elijah and he decided Glen needed to jump as well. So he came in, grabbed Glen's hand and took him outside. (with his mom's help of course) Elijah helped Glens hand while they were jumping, he had to help Glen because Glen is to little to jump on his own. I smile at how helpful and sweet he is.
Here Jennifer is playing a game she used to play with my brother and me when we were little. She has the kids on her legs and is giving them and airplane ride. Elijah wanted to play with mommy and Glen so Jennifer is operating a Double Decker Plane here. Boy does that lady have talent.

Sleeping sweetly

My nephew Elijah came to visit this weekend. He loves Glen so much and always wants to help. At two sometimes he helps too much, but it is sweet to see how much he cares. He was often trying to put Glen's Binky in his mouth, if Glen didn't want the Binky Elijah would suck on it. (Can't let a good Binky go to wast can you?) Elijah would help him swing, help buck him in to his car seat, or drag us in the nursery when Glen cried at night. It was like he was telling us "Glen is crying, help him." and when we didn't he looked sad, almost like we were being mean to Glen. I loved how Elijah often would take Glen's had because every one else was going to the table, Glen needed to come to, or he would try to lead Glen outside to play or go down the slide at the park. Elijah is going to have a new baby sister soon, what a relief it must be to mom to know how much help he will be. :)

Twins!

In September Angelina came for a visit with her two kids Angelea and Enoch. I had been so excited to see Enoch and to hold him. Enoch and Glen looked just like little twins. When they were not side by side we all (whole family) had a hard time telling them apart, even the moms and dads did.
Enoch and Glen hit it off immediately as you can see. They are buds. When we lay them down next to each other and they talked and played as much as infants do. They really looked like they were communicating, probably telling secrets, or talking about Jesus. We were so sad when they all had to go.
